Wolves

So I'm making this story about werewolves and vampires...

:P

Actually, I really am. I'm doing it to try to counteract all of the TERRIBLE stories out there. I'm going to use the story to support people getting into HEALTHY relationships, and to try to show people just how ridiculous they are when they act petty, jealous, or play games.

So yeah, I'm doing this thing on DA where I use a pic I liked from somebody else and use it to inspire my work. Here's the inspiration:

And I'm attaching my pic. I will be painting it, trying to get the same painting style down. THAT will be the hard part.

Note that I said inspiration x.x I am not going for the same feel.

Battle Cat stuff

So, I'm helping to develop a facebook/iphone app. All the code is being done by this cool dude in the Netherlands. I don't know if I'll be getting anything out of it (since I haven't seen a contract or anything). But he seems cool, so hopefully he's not a scammer. But either way, I get to draw cats :DDDD

Here's what I've done so far for it. These are all icons for facebook/twitter/etc. Except the last one, that's a scene for the twitter background.

I'm still in an artistic funk, but I'm trying to force myself out of it.

I've been sick and working and pretty out of it lately, so I haven't been up to much.

I just tried to spell the word much "mutch."

Head colds suck. And not having insurance to get treated sucks more.

But here's some stuff I've been working on :) Slowly.

The foresty concept art really isn't making me happy. I need to start all over, define the perspective, depth and atmosphere more. This is cute, but it could be better, so it's annoying me.

The sketch is for Colin, it's his character inheriting a necklace from his grandpa. I haven't really drawn a person from that angle before, so it's giving me trouble. I've resketched that old man a dozen times. But I'll get there. I like where this one is going, I just need to sit down and finish it.

In a Funk

I've been in a real artistic funk lately \: Very unmotivated to work, very easily distracted.

But I still do my work, for my internship and for a couple of graphic design clients I have. I don't think I can share the work I've done for Lucy Loves Ethel, or Girly Girls, but here's something I'm painting for my internship. I like painting.

On another note, I have gotten a table at Aki-con for this fall. If any of my friends want me to sell some extra prints for them, hit me up. Also, give me ideas for what fanart I should work on xD I highly doubt prints of my OCs would be interesting to anybody but me.

4am Courtesy Wake Up Call

So this is how I was woken up this morning at 4am. When I had to wake up at 5am. I hate being woken up an hour early.

Anywho, this was done in about half an hour in photoshop. I was going to use it to apply for a comic strip artist position, but I don't think I can match the style that the person wants now that I look at my own work. The person wanted something like the stuff you see in the Sunday Newspapers. I dunno, maybe I'll still apply...

Pencils

I've been sketching a lot lately in pencil, it's quite nice. This is a rather big change for me, in case you don't know me, because I have spent a majority of the last two years using digital media and nothing else.

The two attached images were done today and day before yesterday. Both were sketched in pencil, scanned in and then colored.

The flying man was a $5 commission I did for a friend, and the walking vampire is an OC for my love, Colin, which he uses in his Vampire the Requiem campaign.
